Below, you'll find a list of resources that you can use outside of school to grow your math mindset. Please let me know if you have any questions about the following links! None of these will be for a grade; they're just to help you practice while you're away from school.
1) IXL - This is an incredible link for practicing math problems and contains multiple topics that we cover in 8th grade math. I would caution you not to click on any of the topics we haven't covered thus far as this website isn't an instructional website; it's more for practice. https://www.ixl.com/math/grade-8?partner=google&campaign=58424825&adGroup=2267398985&gclid=Cj0KCQjwsYb0BRCOARIsAHbLPhE42e3_XLeXp00BRGCV5x2hD9b_xkV3MNBHZ9huRSr_p9Np4aeR0MwaAqqIEALw_wcB
2) Khan Academy - I'm not including a link for Khan Academy because there are so many beneficial videos. If you go to kahnacademy.org, you'll be given the opportunity to create an account. However, if you just google the words "Kahn Academy" along with whatever topic you need help with, a video will likely appear to help you with that given topic.
3) Quizlet - Quizlet is another platform in which you can create an account in order to use the resources. However, if you go to quizlet.com, rather than signing up for an account you can type a topic into the search bar at the top of the page, and several resources should appear for you to choose from. This is a great way to practice and review a multitude of math problems/topics!
4) Cool Math - Cool Math gives students the option to either play games that help students with problem solving and visual-spacial reasoning or learn topics that we talk about in class. I'm attaching the link to the pre-algebra portion of Cool Math because it most closely relates to 8th grade math. https://www.coolmath.com/prealgebra
5) Games and Puzzles - There are tremendous benefits to simply putting together a puzzle or playing a board game. Research shows that puzzles help improve memory, lower stress levels, build problem-solving skills, improve mood, and improve reasoning skills.
